Description
L-Arginine
Why do we recommend Arginine?
- It can increase protein production
- It plays an important role in the synthesis of nitric oxide
- Contributes to the supply of oxygen and nutrients to the muscles
- It may have a performance-enhancing effect
- Arginine is a practical source of amino acids before training
Why do we need amino acids?
Amino acids are among the most important molecules in the whole field of biochemistry. The main function of our DNA is to produce amino acids, which are then used to build proteins and perform many functions in the body in their free form.
Of the 20 most common amino acids, nine are considered essential because the body is unable to produce them. These amino acids must be obtained from our foods.
Arginine is one of 11 non-essential amino acids, more specifically a conditionally essential amino acid. It was first discovered in 1886 in dairy products, meat, fish, eggs, nuts, seeds and soybeans. Many of the benefits of arginine include support for cellular replication, immune function, and wound healing.
It is true that our body can produce it naturally, but only under certain conditions and in the presence of additional amino acids and other substances. As a result of stress, which is also our training, there is a clear decrease in arginine levels.
About L-Arginine:
Many of the functions of arginine include supporting cell division, immune function, and wound healing. It involves a lot of processes that are vital to the organization.
Although arginine supplementation is rarely necessary for health, it is very popular with athletes. This is because arginine is a precursor to another compound, nitric oxide, that causes blood vessels to dilate.
Vasodilation is important during exercise as it allows for increased blood flow to the functioning muscles. Increased blood flow increases the ability to carry oxygen and nutrients. *
